The Elijah Run

From fire on Carmel to the stillness of Horeb — prophetic courage in the wild.

Mount Carmel, Israel · Horeb, Jordan

A prophet runs into the wild.

Elijah stood alone on Carmel and called down fire. Then he ran — from Jezebel, from the court, from everything he had built — into the wilderness where God speaks not in the earthquake but in the whisper.

Eleven days, twelve pilgrims, local guides who know every wadi and ridge, and a teaching pastor reading 1 Kings aloud at the places it happened.

Three movements

Fire · Flight · Whisper

Movement 1

Fire

1 Kings 18 on Mount Carmel

Stand on the ridge where Elijah faced the prophets of Baal. Read the fire narrative on the ground it happened.

Movement 2

Flight

The Kerith ravine to the wilderness

Walk the eastward flight — ravens, brook, and juniper tree. Feel what it is to run from the very calling you carry.

Movement 3

Whisper

The still small voice at Horeb

Ascend at dawn. Read 1 Kings 19 in the cave. Learn to hear a whisper louder than an earthquake.
