A Wylderness journey is only as good as the people leading it. Four roles travel with every group, whatever the terrain.
One lead on every journey, responsible for the route, the pace and the call to turn around. They have walked the ground before you do.
A pastor travels with each journey and reads the passage aloud at the place it happened — Exodus in Midian, 1 Kings between Carmel and Horeb.
The people whose ground it is. In Wadi Rum, a Bedouin family who have guided these wadis for four generations; on Ararat, guides who have summited hundreds of times.
Wilderness first aid on every departure, evacuation plans written before we leave, and group sizes kept small enough that nobody is left behind.
Sample biography. Two or three lines on where they have walked, what they lead, and why this ground.
Sample biography. Which books they teach from, and how long they have been reading them in the field.
Sample biography. Qualifications, altitude experience, and the evacuation planning behind every departure.
Sample biography. The family, the generations, and the wadis they know by name.
Sample biography. Who answers your email, books the transfers and holds the group together.
Sample biography. Who carries the camera, and what they are trying to catch.
Six slots shown. Send us the real names, roles and photographs and they drop straight into this grid — or ask us who is leading a particular journey.
If you lead in the landscapes we walk — or teach in them — we would like to hear from you.
